Bee Hunter 2019 SémillonBee Hunter 2019 Sémillon

Sémillon is one of the great white noble grapes of Bordeaux, France and is often considered one of the wine world’s unsung heroes. The golden-skinned grape produces France’s most famous and revered sweet wines, and it’s also an important blending component in White Bordeaux blends - but, Sémillon on its own is a force to be reckoned with and it thrives in the warm climate of Yorkville Highlands. Bee Hunter’s 2019 Sémillon offers aromas of lemon flowers, white peach, freshly cut golden wheat and wet river rock, while the rich and nicely balanced palate refreshes with flavors of ripe peach, oro blanco and lemon curd. The long, spicy finish ends with a dash of crisp minerality. Enjoy with grilled halibut, sushi, or roasted pork tenderloin.

Less than a handful of vineyards in this AVA are within this truly unique microclimate. On the nose, this Syrah opens with soft vanilla notes and ripe cherry accents and hints of black currant and licorice. The palate is rich, full-bodied, and well-balanced with flavors of blackberry, black currant, warm vanilla and gentle white pepper that lead into a linger finish.
