Keller Estate’s 2010 Rôtie is a blend of 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier from the Sonoma Coast appellation of Northern California. This wine is a nod to the classic and prestigious Côte Rôtie wines from the northern tip of France’s Rhône Valley where the wines are predominantly Syrah with an allowance of up to 20% Viognier permitted under the appellation law. Producers take full advantage of blending with Viognier to bring further elegance and balance to their wines. Keller Estate’s 2010 Rôtie is a stylish Rhône-style blend, offering classy aromas and flavors, with roasted dark berry, gravelly earth, spice, dried herb, leather and tobacco notes. The finish lingers with firm, fine-grained tannins.
