The Heritance 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from valley floor vineyards in the Oakville, Oak Knoll, Napa Valley and Napa Carneros appellations and includes tiny amounts of Merlot (4%) and Petite Verdot (2%). Using his signature assemblage winemaking style, Bernard Portet blended this small lot wine from different varieties and terriors to create a finished wine that is greater than the sum of its parts. This 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep ruby in color with beautifully fragrant aromas of blackberry fruit. The palate is smooth and graceful with flavors of spice, cherry, and currant that becomes increasingly more complex and complete as it opens up. With good structure and a solid core, this Cabernet Sauvignon is very well balanced with nicely integrated tannins and a rich mouthfeel that lingers on the finish
