Lifelong friends and colleagues, Steve Dutton and Dan Goldfield established Dutton-Goldfield Winery in 1998 with the release of their Russian River Valley Pinot Noir from the renowned Dutton Ranch. Steve's father, Warren Dutton was among the first to champion Pinot Noir in the Russian River Valley in the 1960s. Working along side his father, Steve Dutton mastered his craft. Currently, Steve manages over sixty small, unique vineyard sites throughout the appellation including the Dutton Family Ranch Vineyards. Dutton-Goldfield’s international acclaimed winemaker, Dan Goldfield, brings a long, lustrous career and pinot passion to the team. After receiving his Master's degree in Enology from the University of California at Davis, Dan worked at Robert Mondavi Winery and Schramsberg Vineyards. He joined La Crema Winery as winemaker in 1990. In 1994 until teaming up with Dutton, Goldfield was producing single lot Pinot Noir for the prestigious Hartford Court Family Winery. Today, the future of Dutton-Goldfield is clear, together they are contributing to the history of the Russian River Valley by continually producing one of northern California’s best Pinot Noir.
