2004 ‘Bavarian Lion Vineyard’ Cabernet Sauvignon 192 Cases Produced. - Adobe Road Winery’s 2004 ‘Bavarian Lion Vineyard’Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the northeastern side of Sonoma County in the illustrious Knights Valley, the warmest region in the county that favors the red wine grapes of Bordeaux. The Bavarian Lion Vineyard is situated in the saddle of the Vacas Mountain range, with a slightly higher elevation, volcanic soils, and a warmer climate that combine to produce some of the valley’s best Cabernet Sauvignon. ThisAdobe Road 2004 Cabernet is a powerhouse of a wine, packed with big bold layers of blackberry fruit followed by vanilla, coconut, chocolate and a slight pinch of orange peel. It is rich, ripe, and incredibly delicious with intriguing depth. Wine Enthusiast awards the 2004 ‘Bavarian Lion Vineyard’ Cabernet Sauvignon 90 Points: “It’s quite good, showing a crisp spine of acidity that firms and tones the ripe black currant, cherry liqueur and cedar flavors.” The wine also garnered a Gold Medal at the Florida State Fair International Wine Competition. A wonderful wine to be enjoyed on its own, or paired with your favorite barbecued dish. Aged 24 months in French and American oak. Enjoy now until 2015. |
