Collier Falls Vineyards - Sonoma County
Platinum Series Plus Selection - Trophy Prize â€" Best Zinfandel, - Best of Show - Best of Class - Double Gold - 90 Points Wine Spectator

Amongst the rolling hills in Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County, California lies a 100-acre hillside property with a beautiful sixty-foot waterfall. This picturesque landscape has been home to Collier Falls Vineyards since Barry and Susan Collier purchased the land in 1997. Leaving behind the fast-paced lifestyle of running a Los Angeles entertainment production company, the Colliers finally found their calling and dream home in the friendly, peaceful surroundings of Dry Creek Valley. After their first vintage of Zinfandel earned 90 points from Wine Spectator magazine in 1999, the Colliers knew they were on the right path. A year later, they brought in veteran winemaker Cecile Lemerle-Derbes, who is originally from the Champagne region of France. Since leaving her homeland, she has studied, taught, consulted, and made wine on three different continents. Cecile also has an impressive history of working as the director of wine production at the esteemed Opus One Winery in Napa Valley, California. The Colliers believe that 'great wine starts with great grapes,' and Cecile shares that belief. Spending hours each day walking the rows of vines, Cecile is actively involved in the viticulture practices at Collier Falls. Now, eight years after she's joined the team, each vintage of Collier Falls Zinfandel has been rewarded with medals and remarkable scores from prominent national wine publications.
